The Vietnam Street Educators Network (hereinafter referred to as the Dynamo Network in Vietnam) was established in the early 2000s. Throughout its operation, the Dynamo Network in Vietnam receives financial support as well as technical and professional assistance from Dynamo International, enabling the implementation of approximately ten projects of varying scales and focuses, aligned with different developmental phases.

The projects implemented by the Dynamo Network in Vietnam have primarily focused on the following objectives:

  1. To contribute to strengthening the capacities, expanding development opportunities, and promoting sustainable social integration for children and adolescents in especially difficult circumstances and/or street situations through vocational guidance, vocational training, and employment support.

  2. To promote the engagement and partnership of local authorities, governmental agencies, mass organizations, and civil society organizations in the protection, care, and education of children in especially difficult circumstances and street situations.

  3. To enhance professional capacity, and facilitate exchange and sharing of experiences in intervention practices among Vietnamese street educators, thereby improving the effectiveness of support provided to children in especially difficult circumstances and street situations.

  4. To protect children and enhance the effectiveness of prevention, intervention, and support services for children in especially difficult circumstances and street situations against all forms of abuse and violence.

  5. To apply and integrate innovative intervention approaches in order to improve the effectiveness of protection and assistance for children at high risk and/or victims of abuse and violence, particularly children who have experienced sexual abuse.

  6. To strengthen connections among networks of street educators and social workers in order to improve the prevention of unintended pregnancies and sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) among children and adolescents in especially difficult circumstances.

  7. To strengthen multi-sectoral networking through the establishment and development of collaborative working networks among professionals in social work, psychology, healthcare, and related fields, with the aim of improving the effectiveness of prevention, intervention, and support for children at high risk and/or victims of abuse both within and outside the family.

Currently, the Dynamo Network in Vietnam comprises approximately 20 member organizations and institutions, operating primarily in Ho Chi Minh City, with additional activities in other localities such as Hue, Da Nang, Binh Thuan, and Can Tho. The network is coordinated by the

Capacity Building and Support Center for Women and Children (CSWC).
