Virlanie Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit, non-sectarian organization in the Philippines dedicated to caring for abandoned, abused, and neglected children. Established in 1992 by French social worker Mr. Dominique Lemay. Virlanie Foundation has supported over 22,000 children in its 33 years of operation with its tagline- to give back the smile to street children.
Virlanie’s impact is anchored on core programs that provide a holistic range of services

Residential Program: Provides a family-like environment in several homes, namely Masaya, Elizabeth, Aime and Jade, which care for children and young adults, including those with special needs.

Street Program: Reaches children and families living on the streets through its Mobile Unit, providing basic education, healthcare, and legal support.

Community Program: Works in urban poor areas in Manila like Tondo, Quiapo, and Parola to prevent abuse by strengthening families through livelihood training and education sponsorship.
Across the three core programs, Virlanie provides specialized services to ensure long-term stability for beneficiaries

Health: Offers medical, dental, and psychological care to aid physical and mental development.

Education: Includes formal and non-formal schooling and skills training. We also provide activities to hone the talents of the children through music, arts and sports) to build self-esteem

Independent Living Services (ILS): Prepares young adults for self-sufficiency as they transition out of the Foundation's care. Some continue their college education or find work to support themselves eventually.

Advocacy – Virlanie continue its advocacy for children’ rights and protection together with other national networks, VFI support and lobby for laws for children; and extend collaboration with international networks for children’s welfare such as Dynamo International.
Virlanie is governed by a Board of Trustees composed of various expertise to support the cause of the Foundation. The Executive Director is Arlyne Fernandez who leads a team of development professionals like social workers, teachers, street educators, medical team, psychologist, home staff, resource and development team, finance and human resource, among others.
